EKS is a pretty good writer, readable and clear in her message, at least, which is more than you can say for many. Her ideas are startling and innovative (from what I've seen, of course, she credits Gayle Rubin and others). A hilarious take on all vampire clichés, half hilarious, half heartbreaking. I can’t say it’s anywhere near ‘Unspoken’ or ‘Liar’ in quality but it isn’t a comedy either. Two boys find they have more than football in common. Reminiscent of original slash and therefore, much to my taste, the tension’s pretty good and I liked the very Englishness of the language but it’s not brilliant or anything.
