Got home to a call from the insurance company about my accident a couple of months ago. They officially determined that it was the other guy's fault. (Yep!) So they're going to pursue legal measures. Which might result in my getting my deductible back. Eventually. (Not holding my breath. And not just because right now that would make me cough.)

Two weeks ago today, I had a minor car accident that cost me my right wing mirror and badly scratched the right side. Today, I finally got my car back.

Travel home went fairly smoothly, although my flight was about 15 minutes late and there was some confusion about where to pick up my luggage. La Guardia airport was a gridlocked mess, but the actual roads were pretty good once we got to them ( Read more... )

After I checked into my hotel today, I called the body shop to confirm that they had my cell number. They've ordered the new door and panel. It may or may not be done by next Tuesday. If not, I'll have to rent a car for a few days. When I told the guy that, he said they'd try hard to get it done. Nice place.

Okay, my car's tires can stop picking up nails ANY TIME NOW, please-thank-you. The tire pressure light* was on when I got to my car after work, so I stopped at the local service station and got it taken care of.
