Found out yesterday that the upstairs neighbors (landlord's daughter and her boyfriend) are moving out April 1. They've been good neighbors; I hope the new ones are tolerable.

It's actually a good thing that I had to reset the pilot light on my water heater again. Because of that, I discovered the rather dramatic leak in the basement. The landlord was at a wedding when I called him; he told me to tell one of the new upstairs tenants (the landlord's daughter's boyfriend), who works for a contractor. Got up about 7:30, to find that the free breakfast was a mirage. So I ate at the main buffet again instead. (I would rather have had another hour of sleep and a granola bar from my stash.) All but one of Their cars are now gone (since this morning). I'm assuming that They left that one because they didn't have enough drivers to move all of them at once; whether They'll be back tonight for the last one is anyone's guess ( Read more... )

I called the landlord this morning to report that the upstairs tenants appear to have moved out. There are still four of their cars here, but none of them have plates, and the bozos haven't been back.

He already has new tenants lined up, a couple that he knows. Here's hoping that they're a vast improvement.
