BEAVERS, MOOSE, MAPLES, FLOCK. My time in Canada came to an end and I was returned, saddened immensely by parting with my fellow Reverend ladytiferet, onto the juicy meadows of my mother country. It was a bliss of fangirling squee but even that bliss had to come to an end. I shall not pine needlessly however, dear congregation, and pour my love onto youse despite my sorrow!

Esca/Marcus - Marcus taking advantage of being a slave ...
Marcus has been attracted to Esca from the moment he set eyes on him in the arena.
Being all honorable, he never abuses his master position and never imposes himself to his body-slave. He tries to be friendly, but that's it.

When the power dynamics suddenly shifts, North of the wall, he doesn't like the way he is treated, but one thing Esca said, proves liberating.
"You are my slave! Do for me what I did for you and you'll live!"
Well, Esca never did anything sexual for him! But now that he is the master, surely he could defend himself if he didn't want Marcus attention! Besides, this kind of comfort is expected of a slave!
Now, let's say, Esca, distinguished guest of the Seal People has his own tent. Privately there, in the evening, Marcus decides to give generously, never ask anything in return, and leaves for the collective slaves tent when he is done.
It's his turn to be mysterious and Esca's to be baffled.

The rest of the time, as in the film, he probably plans a way to retreive the Eagle, works too hard, pines a bit for Esca who may have betrayed him or not, as far as he is concerned.
But every evening, in private, he takes advantage of the situation, having sex with him, knowing that Esca could say no if he wanted to.
There has to be a contrast between his stance as a prisoner : proud and defiant, towards his captors, and the brief moments of abandon in private with Esca, when he relishes the "slave role" because he can at last get what he wants.

Esca/Marcus - movieverse, drunk!Esca, repressed/possessive!Marcus
Post movie - Esca and Marcus became Happy Farmers, but Marcus is still convinced that Esca is not interested in men, so he represses like a MOFO.

They get invited to a feast though, and totally drunk Esca starts making out with some young, pretty soldier in a corridor or a garden. Cue Marcus who walks in on them, snaps, punches the other man and goes all "MINE" and "oh no, if you're into this, you're into this with me", and shocked Esca sure that Marcus was never interested, but oh so very happy now :)

WOULDN'T ESCA IN THE ARMS OF A MUSCLEY SOLDIER NOT BE THE BEST THING EVER? OH WAIT, IT WOULD BE IF MARCUS STOMPS AROUND BECAUSE OF IT.

Esca/Marcus - modern AU, confusion about a BJ
After a hard night of partying Esca wakes up with a terrible hangover. Luckily his friend Marcus is there to take care of him, give him some painkillers and water, and generally be his awesome caring (if a bit sulking) self.

Once Esca begins to piece together the memories of the last night, he starts to remember an incredible BJ he got, but can't for the love of god come up with the face of the person who did it.

He tells Marcus all about it, but he claims not to know who it was...

Up to the author if Marcus finally admits to being that person, or if Esca remembers it itself (or maybe Placidus or Liathan spill the beans) :)

After reading that infamous article about Channing's teen session, especially the statement that Chan didn't mind being ogled and was obviously used to it, I earn for a story where Marcus has everyone eating out of his hand and he never really had to step up his game to have somebody, because he always had it easy. Now he meets Esca, and for some reason he resists him, so Marcus has to try harder, only he's really shitty at it ;)

Where are all the Five Times Plus One fics?! I suppose I'll do the honors:

So I feel like the movie was trying to establish (and kinda didn't do it well) that they'd been tentative friends before the journey to find the Eagle. The hunting scene was nice (how did they know how to work together so well?) and the scene shortly thereafter where Esca is cutting the boar up is significant b/c oh, look, he's not killing Marcus to get away. Also, how else would Marcus have known that Esca spoke the language if he wasn't prying and being nosy about Esca's past? AND when Greun (sorry, spelling fail) jumps them, they fought so well as a team, it was awesome, how did they work their team up out???? SO MANY POSSIBILITIES.

Basically I'd like some Day in the Life Snippets of Marcus and Esca's burgeoning Epic BONERIFIC Friendship. Domestic/Getting to Know fic but in the early stages (five times?) - and maybe the last one in the Happy Gay Farmer stage :D

Esca/Marcus Ah! My Goddess fusion
Marcus is just a normal dude, with a normal life, albiet one that is unlucky in love. He goes to work, plays with his giant dog Cub, calls his uncle, but he's alone. And lonely.
Esca is a god(dess), first class, unlimited. He was one of Yggdrasil's top programmers (re:magician), but now he works for the God(dess) technical help line, where he grants wishes to those that call.
One night, Marcus is drinking, bored and lonely, and while watching infomercials, decides to order something. However he dials wrong and gets Esca. Who immediately plops out of a mirror and offers Marcus one wish.
And Esca is just stunning, with his hair, face, voice that is just Marcus's type. But he's drunk, and Esca is way out of his league, and it's all a joke by that douche Placidus, right? So when he wishes for a beautiful god(dess) like Esca to stay with him always, he doesn't expect it to be granted.
Problem is, neither did Esca.

BECAUSE THIS COULD JUST BE, THE BEST THING EVERRR.

The guys are roommates (in a dorm or a flat or whatever you can come up with). One of them is a were, the other a vamp (a Being Human kind of arrangement maybe? just less angsty and more cracky, I suppose... or not). One of them has a secret crush on the other.
