It just occurred to me that I have vacation/sick time again! It also occurred to me that I've already used one paid vacation day for January 2nd. And I took January 16th off unpaid as Maeg and I will be holed up at the Salem Inn for three days and two nights. I left the house at 6:40am with my tower of gifts, hoping the bus/train combo wouldn't be packed. I was one of four on the bus. There were a few people on the T from Oak Grove, but no one actually boarded my train car between Wellington and Back Bay -- a huge departure from the man-sandwiches and accidental impregnations I encounter every morning.
