There were a total of three people on my bus this morning. Including me. On a typical morning, there is not an empty seat. To everyone with the ability to work from home, I say: screw you. It bothers me to no end that I work for a multi-million dollar eCom company, and yet, working from home is not an option. NOT. AN. OPTION. This place prides themselves on 'more for their dollar' which translates to 'if they sit here, they will work'. Not true. Meg hasn't done work since 2007. Explain that one.
At the same time, the whole 'not being able to work from home' isn't a deal breaker. Just annoying. Plus, I have nobody but myself to blame for using all of my thirty-five vacation/sick days pretty much before November hit.
Note to self: STOP IT.
I'm stoked about leaving at 11am today, even if that means I need to work until noon on Wednesday. I will probably leave work early on Monday and Tuesday since 60% of the office has taken the entire week of Christmas off and will not be returning until January 5th including my manager, the director, and the VP of Marketing. No one to babysit the big, bad Creative Team.
Snow today! I am looking forward to shoveling (literally, I heart shoveling) eight to twelve inches of snow and snow angels and photographs. On the other hand, I am sad that extra-curricular activities have gone out the door including lesbians dancing in a darkly lit room, alcohol, and good times.
MAYBE NEXT WEEKEND.
