I was wondering if there's an IV modifier code for BW. I've been trying to find one for a while now, and most things that come up are people asking about it. But the game has been out for a while so I figure there has to be one by now. My google-fu must be getting rusty.

But today I found out exactly what EVs and IVs are and I'm not too happy... it looks like there is a lot of effort to be put in raising a team that won't get owned. Can anyone out there explain IVs to me? I tried Serebii, but I didn't understand it :[

I'm confused as to how IVs are generated. Are they completely random values, does it average the IVs of the pokemon you breed, does either parent's IVs have any effect on what the offspring's is? What?
