Other than using items like Protein and Calcium, what are some ways I can raise my Pokemon's stats? For instance, I have a Houndour (brave nature, level 18) with really low defense, rendering it pretty much useless in battle. Help?

I want an EV trained Shedinja... should I level nincada up with daycare/rare candys until I get Shedinja and THEN Ev train it... or should I just start ev training my level 1 nincada?

I don't know if the EVs transfer over to Shedinja because its a whole new pokemon... when you get it...

Quick question about EV training, lets say I had a pokemon with pokerus, then got it to hold the power bracer, and fought something that gives of 1 attack ev, would it come out as 6 points or 10? (ie, dose it add 4 first or multiply it first? Or have I got this all wrong? xD)

I have always been a simple poké trainer, never caring for breeding for good natures, IVs, EVs, movepools, types etc. But at the same time I love having some of my pokémon unevolved which makes them kinda poor... so I was thinking this time I'll pump them up a little :>

EV training curiosity. I went back a bit and Ctrl+F'd EV ^^;

If you get like... a level 1 Pokémon, and battle Pokémon X, which gives you + 2 SP. Atk EVs. The EXP. levels up level 1 to level 8. Do you just get the +2 EVs -- assuming there are no interfering factors like the Power Items --, or +2 per level?
