Hi there, I just got pearl a while ago hoping that I could do some fun online battling in the future. But today I found out exactly what EVs and IVs are and I'm not too happy... it looks like there is a lot of effort to be put in raising a team that won't get owned. And I used to play WoW, so I know it does take a long grind in order to be halfway decent at pvp.
So here's where I stand, up until now, I had no clue what EVs are and my team in the making is around level 40 now. I have a few traded pokemon I also planned to use. Should I just make eggs of everything and train them from the ground up once I beat the elite for and all that good stuff? -shakes cane- Back in my day, we'd just surf on the coast of Cinnabar to get candies to level up! lol joking aside, is there any help someone could offer me on this? What does it take to be a decent battler? (Maybe I should become a breeder instead lol)
