As I've said before, the cats enjoy the placement of the birdfeeders tremendously.  There is a ledge outside the main picture window.  It is just the length of one brick deep.  The birds like to grab food then fly over to the ledge to eat it.  Today a squirrel did likewise.

That is the produce code for whole pineapples.  Someone went through all of ours and ripped off the tags with the barcode.  The guy at the register next to mine yesterday had no onboard chart of produce codes (for some reason it wouldn't open up) and he turned to me to ask if I knew it, or could look it up.  Didn't have to look it up; I simply ( Read more... )

Tazzer and Zoey are both enjoying the brilliant patch of sun in front of the door leading out of the dining room.  Every now and then Tazzer gets aggrevated and hauls off and swats Zoey.  She counters with a few swings of her own, they trade back and forth for a bit, then he runs out of gas, lulled by the warmth of the sun into docility again.  ( Read more... )

Lying in bed this morning, trying to think who wrote/sang the song I keep hearing in my head (Beth Nielsen Chapman, The Moment You Were Mine, from her album, You Hold the Key), I was distracted by the sound of two of our cats playing in the bathtub.

Funny animals.
