On Saturday had lunch with a friend visiting from Canadia, who brought her new spawn.  There was other-friend-spawn also in attendance, and one in-waiting-spawn!  Soon we will be surrounded!  SuperGeniusBrainiacCouple (who live around the corner from me) are expecting in a few weeks.  My officemate has one due about the same time.  (Also BigSis ( Read more... )

Really meant to do some work on the weekend.  Didn't.  Caught up with people.  Drank too much.  Took care of seahorses.

Made it to two Fringe events (Saturday before last).  A contemporary dance thingo, which was "interesting" [1], and a democracy/capitalism thingo which was also "interesting" [2].

• Finally made claims for expenses back in Feb.  Am totally gonna lose on the exchange rate [1].  Bloody GFC.  Bloody work. 
• Did no work on weekend.  Got wrecked Sat night.  Good fun.  Wonder how much more cleaning needs doing :-S

Made two batches of hot buns, half with crosses (hail Eostre), half with a multiplicity of symbols.  A leftover syringe (unused) from field work performed admirably in producing detailed decorations.  The first batch on Friday was practice for a bunfest on Sunday , thickening the paste made more detailed designs possible in the 2nd batch ( Read more... )

• Had meeting in The 'Ber last week.  Kinda went ok.  Stayed at quite posh hotel.  Bang & Olufsen tv's!  The remote was like a solid block of metal. 
• Would've been nice to stay for weekend to catchup with people...
• Saw two quite acceptable houses on Saturday.

Had such hopes for the weekend - was going to do So Much Work.  Did the tiniest bit ever :-(

Had a lovely Survival Day.  Although totally missed the Hottest 100.  Went to a swimming pool for first time in... years?  Went to a day party on Sunday and had a bit of a dance.  Saw TWO movies (Slumdog and Milk).  Lazed around Saturday (Q bought the new Franz Ferd).  Had dinner cooked for us Friday night.
