I just wanted to drop you all a note about Ikea: I was there yesterday (in Norway), and they had a giant sale. There weren't too many fabrics on sale, but there were a couple of bed sheets. My beloved grandmother is bored with embroidering tablecloths, and she is more than eager to make stuff for me. Which is awesome! A small problem is that I mostly make Renaissance stuff, and embroidered stuff from this era is basically monocrome (blackwork, gold borders etc). My grandmother makes the loveliest embroidered table-cloths. She never follows the recommended colour choices, which gives them a very vibrant look. Problem is that she's made tons of such table-cloths by now, and she neither need them nor want to make more. I stumbled across a book on sale yesterday. It's called Femme fashion, is in both German and English, and focuses on female fashion from ca. 1780-2004. The biggest chunk of the book is about newer fashion, but there are some interesting articles and photos of pre-1900 outfits there as well. I've skipped a few photos, but this is basically it:

Spend less time on the internet indeed..... Hahahaha. But I took some new pictures of the Regency dress with new accessories before I put it in the suitcase, and I wanted to share them. I went to the library yesterday, and luckilly I had brought my camera. They have some *gorgeous* but HEAVY books there, one about the Viking age, and some others about various Nordic history.
