I think I might as well give up the whole getting-internet-at-home idea of mine. So much trouble! Two months, and I'm still not online. Shun NextGenTel like death.. Any suggestions of who might be reliable and good, except Telenor?
Today I copied some pictures to a CD which I brought to a local internet café:
I invited two of my "classmates" from Greece to dinner (Greek food, of course!) on Monday, and they brought more pictures from the trip. I liked this one, because it captured the mood so well and summarized my memories from Metochi very well - cats, stone balconies, studies, sun. Oh, the memories.....
Current state of the Bordone project. I've sewn lots and lots of small eyes to the opening, and I tried to lace it with a golden cord. There were a certain unevenness which I'm not too happy about (not too visible in the photo, more annoying when seen in person - the left side behaves much different than the right side), but otherwise I love the look of it. It looks like a theatre costume, and yet it looks authentic. I love the mix. Realm-of-Venus, thanks for the encouragement to sign up for the Featured section of your website! I noticed too late, and I bet you've filled up the lists now. I would probably not have finished it in time, anyway.... But count me in as a "reserve" if everything fails in late 2008... Haha. I first found the portrait in your (wonderful) website galleries anyway, so it would be a cool... I dunno... "back to the origins" kind of thing. Can't say I'm looking forward to the sleeves....
Three blury/strange pictures of me from the Operaball in Oslo. I wore the Elissa costume for the first time (in public, that is), but without the grand netting underskirt. So the silhouette was long and narrow, something I'm not too enthusiastic about. Still, a very fun costume to wear! The tiara was funked up a bit, and I wore lots of makeup. So I thought, anyway, but it looks almost normal in the photos....
My camera is truly crappy when it comes to indoor photos.... Especially in dim light. I took some photos of other Livejournalers who was at the operaball as well, but they came out all blury and grey (the PHOTOS, that is!! Hahaha). Anyway,
sneprinsesse and
plasmaregn had made some smashing robes, of course with the correct underpinnings and details to complete the look. I loved the result! Ditto for
mirazandar, who impressed me with her 18.th century ensemble (upper part being of a Toile de Jouy-ish white-and-blue fabric).
