It's a bit fun to see trends (if you can call it that) in the online costume communities. When I started way back then, "everyone" did Italian Renaissance, Venetian dresses in particular. Yesterday Det Norske Teatret in Oslo had a costume and prop sale at the theatre. Quite a few goodies there! It opened at noon, and even though I was there 20 minutes earlier the lobby was already packed beyond words. They let people in 100 at the time; I was in group 3 and of course the snazziest items had been snatched. But it was still awesome. ( Read more... )
