COSTUME TRENDS

It's a bit fun to see trends (if you can call it that) in the online costume communities. When I started way back then, "everyone" did Italian Renaissance, Venetian dresses in particular. That would be me. :-) So I vote for the 17th century, as I find it gorgeous.

It's funny that even costuming have trends and quite interesting. I think the Edwardian period and the teens can be upcoming too. And of course, tehre is the vintage trend with a lot of fifties and forties gowns- that may go backwards to the thirties and twenties.

So, after thinking about this a little, I rather think the early 20th century- even if I would love it to be the 17th century.

Though I like the Edwardian fashion too...

That's right! I forgot who it was. But I enjoyed your posts.

I don't think Baroque fashion will catch on either (maybe except the mantuas) either - alas. But I agree about the Edwardian style, which might emerge from the Steampunk style currently hot. Hmm... Interesting!
