I haven't been very good at writing in my journal lately. A lot has been going on. I went to Tennessee to visit my dad in September, and to train him on using his new website. So I hired a company called "Reliable Movers" off of Craigslist; one guy to come yesterday and help pack, and two guys to come today to help us load the truck. Dan's dad flew up for his going away party, with the plan being to help us load the moving truck and then he and Dan would drive the truck downt to Atlanta. So I went to the doctor today and was diagnosed with allergy-induced cough-variant asthma, for which I was put on Prednisone and two inhalers. I've been coughing for well over a month. I hope this kills it. She also told me that my excessively dry and cracking lips are due to a vitamin D and Zinc deficiency, so I picked up some supplements at the ( Read more... )

So this weekend was my birthday party. We rented a 2 bedroom suite at the Residence Inn in Framingham (it had a full kitchen and a fireplace, even! Today hnybny and her husband came over to help me go through some boxes of stuff in the basement. We're trying to get rid of things because we have way too much stuff. It's hard to be objective when it's your own stuff, so having a helper made a huge difference. She did this with me last summer with my clothes, too--it really helped ( Read more... )

The tortillas my friend Chris was sending me from Tucson have arrived! I'm so excited! Tomorrow or the next day I'll make some refried beans and we'll have chimichangas for dinner. Mmmm.
