Well, after completing a bit more than a pattern repeat on the Lucky Clover Lace Wrap... I was thoroughly disgusted. The yarn (the second yarn I'd purchased, mind you) was way too splitty and not very flexible. Then I happened to check the comments and found a very helpful suggestion from Deb. Ok, so the Sugar 'n Cream yarn is a no-go. It's too rough and to get gauge I'd have to go down something like 2 needle sizes. So last night I bought a skein of Caron Simply Soft Brites. It's acrylic, but it's 4-ply and seemed a bit thinner than the other yarn.

I'm working on the ball-and-string toy from Stitch 'n Bitch Nation, and I'm in knitting purgatory here. I have the two balls done, but I feel like I've been working on the 40-inch I-cord for AGES (really about 3 hours or so) and I'm at 16 inches. AUUUUGH ( Read more... )
