Had a surprising moment of wildness today as I walked home from the dentist's. Just above a bus stop, in our rather nondescript housing estate, were three red kites. Is anyone else obsessed with True Blood? Please say it's not just me.

I find it hilarious, well acted and very entertaining. Their timing is classic comedy in a very slow, Southern Gothic-ish way. Anyone else able to squee over it?

We have returned from a lovely weekend in Brussels, staying with lovely and delightful friends where we did VERY little. I geeked out over french language comics (so many wonderful wonderful things!). I think we're planning gentle mooching, eating, drinking, more eating, and more gentle mooching. Is there anything unmissable?

I feel like I am not too nervous, just excited, but it can't be co-incidence that I have already made cake, hoovered, and tidied the dining room, as well as sorted the seating plan. Soon I go to wake up my more obviously nervous bridesmaid with a cup of tea...

Then all I have to do is sit and knit, and chat some, and yeah!
