I am postponing taking down the Christmas tree. This year we have been extremely pleased with the festive awesomeness of our small misshapen real treeinapot. I was doubtful it would survive its trip indoors, but it seems to be thriving, even while covered in enough lights to decorate a 7 foot tree. Had a surprising moment of wildness today as I walked home from the dentist's. Just above a bus stop, in our rather nondescript housing estate, were three red kites. Am off to the houses of parliament, to a reception hosted by MP Charles Walker for the zoos cross-party group.
