Normally this time of year, I am either in knitting for Christmas hell, or participating in a UFO-off, otherwise known as finishing all of the things I haven't finished. It's at Rufford Abbey Country Park near Nottingham, and there's a park, and the lake, and a sculpture trail and all sorts of beautiful art. I'm planning to go with Gwen.

The knitting and stitching show yesterday was full of glee. I saw Anne hard at work at the Pure Purl stall, and blimey, she's some sort of superhero, I don't think she ever stopped.

Very little is as nice as washing and pinning out knitted lace (or blocking it). The pile of pretty wool that I've been working on for 6 months has become a lovely shawl. The wool softens, and the patterns just bloom. It's WONDERFUL ( Read more... )
