Before the second digging out of the pond, I moved all the thyme plants Willem and I had so faastidiously planted. I put them on the terrace next to the blind where I asked him to scoop out the soil for me so I could put a chair down there ( Read more... )

I planted some of the thyme to cover under one of the holes in the breezeway. i planted thecm closely together

I have been in the pond, planting thyme all around the edge, just above the water. I used mud from in the pond, where it had rolled down when the bank crumbled a bit. I don't want any soil in the water ( Read more... )

I stayed quiet so Willem could sleep in. He's had a bad sleep for the past two nights. So at nine he left for work. He'll be an hour and a half late. I would have driven him in but I was going to paint the mural.
