21 laps

Jun 20, 2012 15:37

I swam 21 laps, but I took forever doing it. I got distracted with thyme planting, with someone that came to fill up their tank with water at the stream, someone else that drove their druck up and down the road slowly, checking out what was going on.

Two birds swooped in low over the water, opened their bottom beak and skimmed it on the water for about ten inches, leaving a little silver rippple for me to see. They were just having a drink! I was quite surprised to see how it was done!

I spent some time removing stones from the shallow end, tossing clumps of mud and soil up on the bank during my swim, etc.

It seems like I was in there FoREVER. I was swimming on my back, slowly, just thinking about things. I kept losing count of my laps. I may have done many more than 21, like 8 and 14 and 18 were laps that just were in my head forever. They may have each been repeated without my noticing it!

It's a lovely day! So nice and warm! Abe says it's hot.
He came down and sat on the swing chair, letting me know everything that's wrong with my house and all the things that I should do to fix it.

I have done many things in an imperfect way, because that's the way I do it. I didn't spend money on most of it, so if it needs to be done professionally, the money's not been wasted on a bad job or something.

We may need to fix the window in his room. He says it's leaking. I'm not sure it is. I sealed it up pretty well. I think the floor ot ruined from teh ac being on its side in the window and leaking onto the floor.

He says the whole house needs to be fixed. He said it would be easier to tear it down and start over. Well hello! He is so critical of me. A perfectionist in a home with people who are too chaortic adn add'res that don't notice anything. Poor soul.

It's rather disturbing. He has been staying in Ben's million dollar home, no wonder it looks pretty bad here!

He wanted us to go get some groceries, but I let him know there are bacon and eggs and toast for breakfast, bread and tuna and mayo for lunch, pasta and onions and hamburger for dinner. There are french fries and hotodogs, all sorts of vegetaables, all sorts of soups, etc.

He thinks I should get a full sized refridgerator. I dn't want one. They leak and fill up with rotten food. Ick. He says we also need an upright freezer so you can use all the stuff in it.

Well, that sounds good, but in relity, you lose all the cold when you open the door and it falls out. You can't get nearly as much food in it, either.

There are now two rose breasted grosbeaks. They both look very small. But they have all their colours. They are picking at the seeds on teh floor. Perhaps they are young, hey have whie patches on their side backs.

deepity swimming pond, thyme, birds, swimming, abe
