Well, we walked down the hill, willem carrying my snowshoes. I put them on at the start of Kingfisher trail and snowshoed the pathway we've walked many times this winter. The foot plus deep snow is resting on a layer of ice, over four inches of more snow against the ground. As we walked along, I could hear the snow shear off and fall slightly. ( Read more... )

Willem and I had the most wonderful walk today. The sun was shining. It was mild outside, -5 Celsius, I think. First, we walked up to the top of the hill parking lot, and walked back-and-forth and back-and-forth making footprints on the entire area. We played scrabble again tonight before bed. It takes about an hour for a game. I put down Queen and made 95 points! Amazing. I was so thrilled. I won the game by 100 points! That has never happened! Much of scrabble is luck, though, as you don't get to choose your points. You have to do a lot of figuring out, but so much depends on the ( Read more... )

Willem and I went for a walk tonight down by the river. We saw a fox and I even filmed it before he ran away. We counted about 75 rabbits in the various green spaces and found lots of den holes for either the fox or for the rabbits. Maybe they live beside each other? LOL ( Read more... )
