For the last several weekends, I'd been meaning to do some gardening and finally did it today. I turned the soil between the annuals and killed weeds that one warm weekend way back in early March and this was a big help as I've had fewer weeds this year. It's gotten very hot and steamy around here. The last few days were very pleasant, but I wish it could have held out a bit longer for the weekend. I went to Bastille Days today and it was pretty sticky. There were beignets bigger than my first, though, so it was worth it ( Read more... )

So I didn't take a picture of the finished shirt, but it turned out well, if rather large. It went well with a vest he had from an old masquerade entry.

It was a steampunk-heavy time at the con. I loved it, ( although it's obviously not everyone's cup of tea )

It's been a busy weekend. I didn't get done nearly as much as I wanted, but I did manage to get in some gardening. I went and bought a few petunias to fill in the side bed, along with herbs and some small trellis things to hold up the flowering vine.
