Going to the Ren Faire on saturday with Leah was a blast! My re-constructed dress looked awesome, and we had loads of fun getting our picture taken and being mistaken for staff. :-D

I've decided to use the teal wool and brown linen I bought to make another Tudor kirtle and sleeves. I've been humming and hawing over whether or not the wool is a correct colour for the period, but I'd decided to go for it anyway. Thinking about various SCA stuff I want to do this summer, I decided that my Tudor needed some sprucing up. So I pulled out some black silk that was once a skirt and made a partlet!

I decided when I was working on my Tudor outfit that I'm tired of my petticoat. I made it from a diagram in The Tudor Tailor. It's a regular petticoat, but attached to this funky little bodice that ties up in the front. While I was waiting for the money to finish my bustle dress to magically appear, I decided to work on some 16th century peasant garb for some SCA events I'm planning to go to. I've been doing more actual progress on costume-type things lately, so I thought I'd make a plan of thing I want to make (in order).
