1. I had an idea for a short story in the shower this morning, and actually remembered to write it down and do something with it. It's raining here in Surrey. It's an 'I want to hibernate' kind of day.

I finished another book in the 'read over Easter' pile this morning, which only leaves about 15 to go. :P I am plugging away at it though, in between internet dalliances and episodes of Battlestar Galactica.

I can't sleep tonight; there are just too many things going round in my head. I don't really want to lie awake in bed just wishing I could sleep and turning all those things over and over, so I'm doing this instead. I was flicking through an old notebook recently, when I found some writing that I'd done back in 2004 around August, September and October. Four poems, and one short story. Had a good night at Bella Italia. I ate king prawns for a starter, garlic ciabatta, and 'penne diavolo' - which was extremely hot and made my eyes water. It was all nice though. The best bit was Tiramisu for pudding, which was like heaven on a plate. Most people had a good meal although unfortunately, Ben the music editor felt a bit queasy ( Read more... )
