Eek.  I am so broke that for the first time ever my switch card got rejected today.  Luckily I was at the self-service tills at Marks & Spencer's, so I was spared the embarrasment of anybody seeing, and quickly gave it my credit card instead (which thankfully has many thousands of pounds worth of credit before it starts getting rejected) so I was ( Read more... )

I picked up my Czech Koruna from Marks & Spencer's Bureau de Change this morning at the bright and early hour of 7.30am. I now have this great big wadge of notes - 4000Kč - which is making me feel very rich.  I am chosing to ignore the fact that it is worth about £100 - or about US$190 or 143 Euros for you statesider/continental types.

Last night I went to see a production of Twelfth Night in Russian at work.
