It's been an entire year since we went into lockdown here (at least a week too late). This morning I looked at the post I made the day after the announcement and I sounded quite calm. We usually do go out on this date as it is our wedding anniversary (thanks J for all the wonderful years) but a) the weather is dubious and b) we don't feel like using public transport so instead we are going to celebrate with a takeaway pizza from our favourite local Italian restaurant. My brother has just sent me a video of his very young dog meeting a stream for the first time and plunging in. It's adorable but it did make me want to go and meet the dog (and my brother and family, of course) for the first time. I meant to post yesterday to say that it was my 11th LJ anniversary but we've been having a great time going to the London Film Festival and my eyes were giving out on me! It appears to be the 200th anniversary of the publication of "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen. I'd love to write a detailed literary appreciation but it's years since I actually read it rather than watched it on the telly.
