The latest weirdness on LJ is that for the past few days they have reassigned new colours to all the journals I read, so I can no longer quickly see who's posted recently just from glancing at the colours... particularly since the combinations of text and background colours they have hit upon frequently make the names illegible

Further to yesterday's LJ silliness, whether they back down on imposing nasty new formats or not, I'm planning to revert to importing comments on my LJ journal to the primary version on Dreamwidth. I did this when I imported the journal itself to Dreamwidth three and a half years ago, but then I stopped, because some of you have objections to

Disaster today. As I was finishing my shopping, and steering wheely bag over the step at the greengrocers', one of the plastic-bits-that-attaches-the-wheel-to-the-axis snapped off, causing the wheel to become detached.
