YoungBloke has been undergoing dental treatment over the last couple of years to preserve his baby teeth since they have weaker enamel. To that end he's had metal crowns put on his pre-molars so he has silver teeth! Every now and again it comes home to me that YoungBloke is growing up*. This afternoon, after YB finally completed his holiday homework, we decided to go and see The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug 3D. YoungBloke's favourite type of reading is "adventures and wizards" because "there are monsters". He is currently reading The Hobbit, Harry Potter, Beast Quest. I was going to be v grown=up today and do passport renewal forms for myself and YB. Did mine in pencil first, just like Dad taught me, was happy with the parts I had to do, went over in black biro.
