I’ve been a great fan of radio drama for a long time, and if you were to look through my MP3 player and the burnt CDs in my car, you’d see BBC drama, old time radio and the like.  I got a real love for it as a kid, and as it’s drifted in and out of my life, the real problems have been availability - of the programs and for time to listen to them!

At her Livejournal, Maia Cowan has a VERY cool and nice set of photos of an art installation in Toronto called Long Wave that is a approximation of a radio wave going through the air….highly recommended as radio geek fodder and as art.

I was off work all of last week, trying to keep my foot out of action and let it heal.  Not sure how much got accomplished on that part, but the swelling is gone, and I’ve thoroughly gotten sick to death of the Bactrim side-effects.

Got the reservations in for Duckon yesterday, and working with the con to make sure that the twins can bop back and forth between the rooms at night.  Trust me, this is important for them and for our sanity.

Azerbaijan says that they don’t want foreign government stations broadcasting on local FM.

Recently, Susan and I have been up to her Aunt’s house in Elgin or out to talk to her about her computer problems.  Auntie (Susan’s mom’s sister) operates a doctors’ organization that has a couple of big yearly meetings (for training updates, and other conference stuff) and some smaller ones, and it’s sometimes amusing to realize that she and I ( Read more... )
