Our college course decamped en masse to the main college campus today (we normally meet in a far flung outpost, hehe!) for our Emergency First Aid at Work training day. How typical for a Monday morning - Little Three got up complaining that she had a headache and felt sick! Oh great... I still have two poorly children who are not fit for school. Combine that with my poor mum worriedly taking her very old and very lovely cat to the vets this morning and not knowing what the outcome will be, and it means I am at home with the younger two instead of in school on my placement ( Read more... )

I rather nervously sent my two younger children into school this morning expecting to hear from them about one or the other of them - and I was not at all surprised to park outside college in Middlewich at 20 past 9 and immediately get a phone call to tell me that Two's cough isn't letting up, and he isn't doing any work at all ( Read more... )

Little Three's earache is still here, though she is marginally less ill and floppy this morning so I've given her just paracetamol first thing so that Grandma can top up with ibuprofen in 2 hours (the last two days she's felt so poorly that she's had them both at the same time but then had 4 hours in between). Had to come home early from my placement yesterday because Little Three was poorly, in tears and couldn't last the afternoon. I took Two home as well to save me coming back an hour later for him, and as he coughed all the way home anyway it was perhaps as well ( Read more... )
