Yesterday, our Fourth of July festivities were spent at my sister's to also celebrate Brayden's first birthday with the whole family. The party/ cookout was beautiful. This past week was spent at the beautiful Outer Banks area. We stayed at Avon in the cutest little two story circular house right off the beach. Jakob called the house the "lighthouse house" because it sort of looked like a house and we've been telling him for months that we're going to lighthouses when we go to the beach.

Yesterday, Hilary, the boys, and I had a fun filled day full of activities which started with a full Celtic service at Hil's Methodist Church. Today is our wedding anniversary. We ended up celebrating Saturday by having lunch and taking a tour of Shaker Village without the boys. It was nice to be able to look around and just be together without having to be mommy, not that I mind being mommy. It's a great job. But its nice to just be Robin for a few moments too.

Overnight, snow has fallen scaring the surrounding counties enough to close school, even though in our lovely little village, there is merely a light powder but school is still closed with not enough snow to play in. So today, it's been a lazy day which is nice with all other goings-on lately.

Chris and Christina's wedding was beautiful. It was a Scottish wedding with bag pipes and kilts instead of tuxes. It truly reflected the fun loving couple. The bubbly bride was her normal bouncy cheerful self, wearing a beautiful bell-shaped off the shoulder beaded gown.
