Yesterday, I finally finished designing a Wizard of Oz cross stitch pattern called, Toto By the Ear. Dorothy, hanging out the window of the cabin holding onto Toto's ear, is trapped inside the tornado. The cabin is tilted and there are sudtle lines that illustrate the winds of the tornado. I got a new toy, a custom hand-carver rubber stamp for my etsy store. Now I can make business cards and stamp labels on products.

The stamp was made by sugarskull77. She does fantastic work.

After getting some advice from Jessie about photography, I updated some of my pictures on Etsy. My lack of photography skills, my low-tech camera, plus the help of my scanner was just not cutting it. She suggest that I use natural light, possibly taking the pictures outside on the front steps and use a color colored non-white background.

Now that I know what shrinky dinks are, I've been experimenting with my sheets of plastic. The twenty tiny magnets I order a couple of days ago to experiment with making magnets from wooden nickels came in today; so I finished up my Gremlins magnet sets which I think are incredibly adorable. I have a couple more of just Gizmo put aside to make a couple of pendants.

I finished averaging all my grades; so today, I will proudly march down to registrar and turn them in, praying there will be no contesting or any more grumpy emails.

Lately, I've had an explosion of ideas that have been filling my little spiral notepad. I finally finished the cross stitch seahorse cameo necklace that I've been working. I designed the pattern, stitched the pattern on the tiny piece of aida I could find, and attached it into the cameo on a black beaded cord. I discovered that the best way to find ( Read more... )
