Another year, another Euroquest on the books. It's the only gaming tournament I participate in, so I was there for pretty much the duration & participated in as many tournaments as I could. Well, Friday was as good as Thursday was bad. I picked up an assortment of wins, including one in a Settlers tournament heat, and a bunch of seconds. At one point I was third in the wild card tournament. Seriously. Finished dead last in all of my tournament games, and won exactly one game all day. And today's the day I was theoretically awake. Oy.

After being out of the office most of the last couple days, now I'm going to be out the next few. And after looking forward to Euroquest...I'm probably too tired and stressed out to enjoy it. Still have power, wind and rain are both picking up, CJ is still willing to leave the porch to do her thing but I doubt that'll last much longer, her dentist appointment is still on for tomorrow but work is very unlikely. Home now from Euroquest, four days of games and serious humbling and social graces or not, as the case sometimes was. Besides the Can't Stop and Lost Cities wins Friday, I won exactly one game - a Stone Age match Friday afternoon. That was it for me and winning. How about a whole lot of games?

Yep, gaming convention time. Euroquest starts tomorrow at noon, although I probably won't get there until mid-afternoon due to PT. And that's where I'll be, except for sleeping, until Sunday afternoon. So I'm not dead, just gaming.

And naturally it decided to get started while we were in the supermarket. So we came out to rapidly falling and blowing snow landing on sleet and ice. By the time I had the groceries loaded in the trunk, there was almost as much snow in there as bags. Just barely made it there in time to set up Settlers this morning, wound up playing with one hand and eating with the other. The Settlers game was super, 3 of us were both playing cutthroat and trading the lead among ourselves, and not taking anything personally.
