2015 has pretty much sucked for me, start to finish, and it's finishing with a kick. I'm still not a permanent employee. My mother doesn't know who I am any more. Another year, another Euroquest on the books. It's the only gaming tournament I participate in, so I was there for pretty much the duration & participated in as many tournaments as I could. I made my final car payment today. Phew.

CJ saw the vet today. The vet says her broken tooth has exposed pulp and signs of infection, so he's sending her to the doggie dentist. Exam, x-rays, bloodwork, consultation, anaesthesia, pain meds and if I'm lucky, just a tooth extraction. The dentist wants to do a root canal just because it's the canine tooth, but I don't think there's enough ( Read more... )

The boss came to work today in a 1967 Good Humor truck with no roof, a questionable transmission and stickers lauding Mayor Schaefer. We’re hoping to get the male members of the staff to stop playing with the truck and come back inside the office at some point today.

Haven't melted yet. Check back later today on that one. Meanwhile, my car's battery DID melt. Or rather, it was several years old and winding down its life, apparently, so the extreme heat finished it off.
