Crafty Update
Jewelry for sakon76 is done. I just need to hit everything with the spray-starch one more time and press it, and it's ready to ship. I'm really pleased with the black thread/white pearl combination. I also like the medallion design; it has nice long petals. I must try it in white and yellow, as I think it would make a kickass tatted daisy ( Read more... ) -
Shawl Done!
Stick a spork in me - the shawl embroidery is done! Wow, that was a lot of embroidery...and yet oddly it took about the same time as any one of the embroidered wedding gown elements (ie. corset, or both sleeves, or both shoes). Go figure ( Read more... ) -
Another Happy Thing
Forgot to include this: I found my embroidery stuff! *does happy embroidery dance* This means I could finally start the embroidery of girasole's shawl. I'd have done more but for some reason I was more exhausted than usual this morning and slept for most of the train ride ( Read more... ) -
Crafting Again
I've begun making jewelry again (racerexmachina, did you want red beads or black aurora in your choker and earrings?), and picked up some more leaf-beads and acrylic flowers to start rebuilding my hoard for the next Regina Opera sales. Ribbon Roses
Long, hot weekends are good for staying in and doing lots of ribbon embroidery. I finally finished girasole's shawl, and will be sending it off today. Turns out it takes a lot of ribbon roses to cover the ends of a 30-inch shawl! But hey, it's good practice and I did finish it. Weekend Summary
On Friday night, I stayed up until 2am making jewelry and angsting over my laptop, which suffered a spectacular computer death. Luckily it's still under warranty.

Jewelry Frenzy - Week I
