Curmudgeon is feeling better, so we’re back to kissing again. :D

Curmudgeon took a home COVID test we had in our medicine cabinet, and it came up negative, so that’s good. I don’t want that again, after I coughed for six weeks this fall and it tore up my vocal chords. I don’t want it, whatever it is, though.

I forgot to write on November 25, the Monday before Thanksgiving, that I went to my dermatologist to treat my digital mucinous cyst (DMC). A year or so ago, he’d lanced the thing and squeezed out the fluid. (The fluid originates from within a neighboring joint.) Sometimes this will cause such things to heal, but not in my case. Earlier this month, Mom turned 90. We went up there for her birthday. Stopped by Giant (DC/MD/VA grocery store chain) on the way from the airport and brought her cake, flowers, and sparkling grape juice and had a little party in her room. Curmudgeon forgot his phone this morning and had to drive all the way back to the house to get it. I told him he could have asked me to meet up with him in a parking lot halfway, which we did about a year ago when he forgot his laptop. I went to the doctor’s office to one of the N.P.s (not my usual one but the one who diagnosed my COVID last month). The chest CT scan looked OK. There were minor issues, but nothing out of the ordinary. I told her I’d gone off the Mucinex and the inhaler. I’ve taken off for a four-day weekend. We had originally planned to go to Sarasota to visit my mother-in-law at this time, and around late August I asked the boss for these days off. I went to the doctor’s office over lunch for a flu shot. I’ve decided to start getting these annually, now that I am of an age. My doctor said they give a more potent shot than the pharmacies. It’s been two weeks since my podiatrist visit. She said to come back today for another shot if my foot knuckle wasn’t better, but the diligent contrast baths and sleeping with the pillow between my legs seems to have helped.
