Flu Shot and Bootless Training

Oct 18, 2024 16:10

I went to the doctor’s office over lunch for a flu shot. I’ve decided to start getting these annually, now that I am of an age. My doctor said they give a more potent shot than the pharmacies. Consequently, I decided to have it on a Friday afternoon, in case I felt bad later and wanted to rest up over the weekend. [Update: No worries. I couldn’t even tell where the shot was later that day, and I could only tell when I pressed directly on the area on Saturday and Sunday.] I called the doctor’s office beforehand to ask about my eligibility to get flu stabbed yesterday because I’m still coughing from the COVID of several weeks ago. Sometimes they’ll ask you if you feel okay before giving you a vaccine, so I wanted to make sure it was all right to have it before driving up there. They said to come on, as long as I don’t have a fever.

During work hours, I’ve spent most of the last two days being stabbed by training videos assigned to the accounting department by the CFO. These were chiefly related to topics like communication and building work relationships. I mocked the one on emotional intelligence out loud. Yes, I was working from home, but still. You wouldn’t believe all the things EQ does! I’ve never seen so many bullet points. Puppies and rainbows! It will bring world peace, I’m sure it of it. I just don’t want the training.

health, work
