Thanks for all the comments on my previous post. They all helped. I finally put up little blue lights outside that look quite nice, along with the extra wreath and the garden decorations I put up. Star Trek Into Darkness is not my Star Trek. I have to keep remembering that because Abrams has used the alternate universe trick to alter canon. I grew up on Star Trek and while I'm a Star Wars gal at heart, Star Trek figures prominently in my childhood.
