Managing the season my way

Thanks for all the comments on my previous post. They all helped. I finally put up little blue lights outside that look quite nice, along with the extra wreath and the garden decorations I put up. I have two trees and this year we opted for the 4 foot tall tree. We put it on a snack table with a fancy tree skirt around it and set it near the front window. Bree and I decorated it while I wore my Bah Humbag hat and we alternated between playing fandom music (tumblr style), a very long version of Yakaty Sax and Rob Halfold's Christmas album. The tree looks quite nice sitting there and I'm content with that amount of decorating. Right now I am listening to my copy of Lionel Barrymore's radio version of A Christmas Carol and that's Christmas to me more than most things because it was a family tradition. Tomorrow I'm going to clean all the bathrooms, mop my floor, put away my beading supplies that clutter the dining room and tidy up what piles lay around. I am not going to stress that the house could be a little neater. I'm doing my best at the moment and I'm no going to push myself one iota past that.

christmas, stress, childhood
