OMG! Opening Scene! Epic Song! Great villain! Wonderful homages and nods! Great transitions!
I was born and bred and fed on James Bond. Almost literally. Daddy worked for United Artists and until his retirement, my family never paid to see a James Bond film. Screenings, and even one world premier was how it was done in this house. We had promo materials, posters, you name it and Bond movies were and still are a big deal to this Armstrong. Daddy had a love of movies in general but he was quite fond of Bond, James Bond. Whenever the credits would role and they would show the Transamerica logo, followed by the United Artists logo, later to be replaced by the MGM logo, Daddy would say "That's one of ours". And so they all were, and still are. He lived long enough for me to take him to the first Daniel Craig Bond movie. It made him proud. Oh the discussions and nostalgia we would have shared over this one.
