Went to Bridgnorth, yesterday, and had  a trip on the Severn Valley Railway.  The kids liked it - they're both Thomas the Tank Engine fans.

Managed to get to Bedfordshire today for a flying visit to sister's family.  Dropped off birthday presents for Mum and G.  Weather was good, and we went to Sharnbrook village fete.  I hadn't been to one of these things in years, and they haven't changed.  The "Distant Thunder" marching band played a medley from West Side Story, there were coconut ( Read more... )

Had a good couple of days in Bedfordfshire.  Kicked balls round the back garden with BIL and nephews, ate chocolate (I brushed my teeth afterwards!), and watched a surprising amount of TV:

I'm now in Bedfordshire, having come up on Christmas Eve to stay with my sister's family over Christmas. I'm using their computer while they are visiting sister's father-in-law. It was lovely to arrive at their house on Christmas Eve with all its decorations and the big Christmas tree, with the children looking forward to Santa coming ( Read more... )

Back in London after a few days away.  Went from Midlands to my sister's place in Bedfordshire.  Good to see the family again.  Went for a long walk to watch a horse show with sister, brother-in-law and nephews on Sunday, and we all got drenched to the skin in torrential rainstorm on the way home.  How we laughed ( Read more... )

I've gone up to the Midlands to spend a few days at my mum's place.  My nephew's here too, so I'm knee-deep in Bionicles and there's a constant battle between us over whether to watch the Olympics or Toonami.
