Been quite busy at work this week, and I've come down with a cold.
By yesterday afternoon, all the various things I'd been responsible for (teaching, arranging demonstrations) for induction week were over.

The heat continues to be hot.
Went to the pictures yesterday with inkognitoh and silverjet_allie. We met up (in the heat), chatted about the heat, bought tickets, and went to get something to eat. Watched Captains Courageous again on TCM this morning. Great film (love those Grand Banks schooners), and reminded me of when I read the book for the first time. It was one of those cool old hardbacks I occasionally found as a child. Each one was an adventure - you never quite knew what you'd be getting. Paperbacks always tell you about the ( Read more... ) -
