It felt reallyt good being back at Primarchs again tonight. A month break over Christmas worked well. We had a decent number of people turn out and lots of Warhammer and Magic being played.

As expected I lost my Warhammer match but not as I thought I would. Good game though.

Tonight we're back at the Bridge Pub for the first Primarchs meet up of 2011. Hopefully we'll get a decent number of players turn up after the break. I have my Warhammer Fantasy campaign match against StormWytch and I'm looking forward to it. Lost tonight's Warhammer campaign game against scion_of_change though to be fair I expected to. scion_of_change is now in the position of claiming victory in the campaign as I don't know that anyone can catch him up easily. Warhammer Fantasy really isn't my game I don't think ( Read more... )

The Primarchs is currently running a small 8 player league of the new Warhammer Fantasy Battles 8th edition (released a couple months ago). We are two rounds in so far and the Ruinious Powers are not with me this time it seems.

Normally I can't stand painting as part of my hobby gaming, even though I love all other aspects of playing Warhammer. This last week however has been very different. So it turns out that when I used my new toothbrush for the first time on friday I cut my gum on the hard bristles and it has become infected. The swelling was already going down but to be sure the dentist gave me some antibiotics yesterday (amoxicillin). I am really rather annoyed at the recent turn out for the Primarchs. This makes two weeks in a row where I have had to fork out half the night's costs from my own pocket because we had just four people turn up. Bonus points to a couple of the guys who paid more than they needed to to help cover the costs but it has irked me a lot.

With blue_mochi running Call of Cthulhu recently, she has revitalised my desire to dig out my Silent Hill games. Last night around midnight I managed to find the first 3 (I'm not going to bother with 4 ever again since it was shite). Spent today in town mostly talking to Dawn in the candle shop. The rain gave me plenty of excuse not to leave early. We talked lots and it was a nice way to spend the afternoon.
