After a three-month delay (much to my chagrin) I've finally gotten started on a little Honda CT70 that was brought into the shop back on June 08.  Mind, at the time I told the customer that I wasn't a motorcycle shop, and that I couldn't promise anything other than to have a look at it.

     I've had a machine from a Sears service call sitting in the shop since last October!  I'm delighted to say that the parts finally arrived yeserday and were installed forthwith!  It took a little more doing than it ought to have, since the key part wasn't quite the same as the original, and required a little tinkering to get it to fit properly ( Read more... )

     I need to get a decent multi-meter for my shop, and the one that Briggs & Stratton offers their dealers is a Uni-Trend UT70B.  It seems to be a decent meter, and it lists for $221.73  However, I can get the same meter from DinoDirect.com for $78.89 on special, and that's why I'm wondering if anyone has heard of them.  Apparently, this sale ( Read more... )

Dogs are friendly critters as a rule; Being pack animals, they tend to settle in nicely with their human pack-mates once they know where they fit in on the scale. Young dogs, like young humans, tend to test the boundries to see what they can or cannot get away with. Overall, Nash is a good dog; Not too bright at times, but overall pretty good. One of my favourite stores to shop in is Canadian Tire, a chain of stores of near iconic status up here in Canada.  As one of their ad campaigns says, "There's a lot more to Canadian Tire than just tires."  I have bought tires there, but mostly it's a place that I shop at for tools, auto accessories and parts, household items, lawn & garden ( Read more... )
