The tool that I needed for that little Honda CT-70 arrived on Monday, and I finally got the rotor off the thing to peek around inside.  With the right tool, it took less than 30 seconds to take the rotor off!  I replaced the breaker-points, but the condenser is soldered into place!  That is, the canister is bolted, but the ( Read more... )

     After a three-month delay (much to my chagrin) I've finally gotten started on a little Honda CT70 that was brought into the shop back on June 08.  Mind, at the time I told the customer that I wasn't a motorcycle shop, and that I couldn't promise anything other than to have a look at it.

     The last few nights have been pretty hard on the old body.  The Elk's Club is trying to raise funds to put a new roof on the hall, and we're not talking a simple "new shingle" sort of job here; The old roof is a flat-style, and it needs to be replaced with a proper angled roof that will actually shed water, snow, and other things that Nature ( Read more... )
