This last weekend was the Victoria Day long weekend up here in Canada; I gave myself a well-deserved break, staying home for two days (I did work on Saturday) to just get some badly-needed R&R.  trixstir and the kids were out visiting her family, so I had the farm to myself for the weekend, and that definitely helped with the R&R part.  Don't get me ( Read more... )

     I haven't posted much in the last few days; It's been quiet overall, although busy.  I guess that's part of the problem with keeping a journal - when things start to become commonplace, they just don't seem to be worth writing about.  This sort of thing is what kills so many journals, and it's really a shame.

     I'm looking for a smallish on/off-road sort of motorcycle for The Teenager.  One that seems to fit the bill nicely is the Honda XL500S, but those bikes are getting pretty old.  On the plus side, that often means they're cheaper, on the minus side it means parts are harder to find.  Does anyone have some suggestions for other bikes that would ( Read more... )
