Today was a day of "Goodbyes", more or less...  Not necessarily bad things really, but a time of transition, and finality.

It's been a busy couple of days, but with some rewarding evenings.  On Friday, Mom and I went up to the house and loaded the last seven concrete blocks onto the back of the truck, then got the last of my stuff out of the garage.  This consisted of a large Canon photocopier, several old IBM workstation computers, and a bunch of lumber.  I also ( Read more... )

The last 48 hours have been just loads of fun.  Yesterday, the temperature dropped into the -20's, and the wind howled at around 40 km/hr, and we got snow.  Not much snow, mind you, only about 2cm worth, or less.  But combine that with the wind, and you get white-out conditions.  Thankfully trixstir  got to the ( Read more... )

 Got up early this morning to get to the gov't surplus auction on time.  Still barely made it, as I wound up spending too much time reading the morning paper and lost track of time.  At $102.38, this was probably the least expensive auction I've been to.  There were only two things that I can honestly say I NEEDED, those being two of those enormous ( Read more... )
