How successful?  A profit in excess of $1200 for the night, thanks to a Christmas party by one of our large corporate customers.  The tally at the end of the night was just under $2k, then subtract the taxes we have to pay, and the cash we ( Read more... )

     The weather this month has certainly been up and down, but at least the few times that it did snow it also melted within a couple days.  We had four inches of snow over the weekend, only to have it all melt within two days.  I can live with that.

     I had to drive to Swift Current today since (as I expected) the Co-op Agro centre did not have a thermocouple for my furnace.  They did have a small one, but far too small for my furnace (which, BTW, uses a 24" universal-fit thermocouple.)  It's a costant annoyance that the Agro claims to have everything you need, but in reality they rarely ( Read more... )
